LOT136 NY&C RPO CANCELLATION STAMP
(Item: CAT65/LOT136)

NY&C RPO CANCELLATION STAMP- Embossed in circle portion of iron “NY&CHIC. R.P.O. E.D. R.M.S with cancellation stripes at the side. In the center are four train/date slugs as follows: TR11 JUN 21 1935. Possibly used on the NYC or PRR. Has large wooden handle with several turnings. Has 2 flat spots where the handle has rested on its side; a little sealing wax in one of the rings. Brass collar is cracked from age at the bottom where the wood attaches to the iron-canceling head. Slight rust on the top of the iron still overall good used condition and harder to find.
