LOT 424 WRR FIXED GLOBE
(Item: CAT65/LOT424)

WRR – clear cast fixed globe with glass fuel font & whale oil burner. Old black paint with patent date on bottom October 1854. Levers to remove font appear frozen and surface is slightly porous but without a doubt amazing that a lantern this old has survived at all. A real treasure if you collect fixed globes. One of those wonderful early pieces of railroad history.
