LOT 86 READING SHOPS BUILDERS PLATE
(Item: CAT67/LOT86)

READING SHOPS – CLASS F-39 dated 1890. Brass plate measures 8 7/8” diameter with two mounting holes. Built as the “Norfolk” in 1866 by E. S. Norris in Lancaster, a 4-6-0 engine. It was renumbered 176 in December 1871 and was a Class F locomotive. The 176 was rebuilt by the Philadelphia & Reading in September 1890 to class F39. It was then renumbered to 473 in April 1900 and reclassed F4a. Finally scrapped in October 1912. It appears to be very rare so don’t miss this chance to add an elusive find to your collection.
