LOT 104 D&RGW PLAQUE
(Item: CAT67/LOT104)
D&RGW – cast brass safety award plaque reads, “Rio Grande Division Safety Award Maintenance of Equipment” and has embossed view of two employee’s performing maintenance box car wheels. Engraved on the bottom by the winning divisions with corresponding years and reads, “Won by Alamosa Division 1948; Won By Salt Lake Division 1950; Won by Pueblo Division 1949; Permanently Awarded Salt Lake Division Best Safety Record Two Successive Years 1950-1951”. Plaque measures 12” x 17”. It is engraved E.W. Huttig Denver, Colo on reverse which I am assuming was the artist at the time. A great piece for the Rio Grande enthusiast. MINIMUM BID $250
