LOT 96 D&RGW SAFETY PLATE

D&RGW RIO GRANDE – brass cast safety award plate issued to the Maintenance of Way Department and engraved on the bottom, “Won By Salt Lake Division 1947; Won by Alamosa Division 1948; Won By Salt Lake Division 1949; Permanently Awarded to Salt Lake Division For Best Safety Record 1947-1949”. Plaque measures 12” x 17”. Engraved on the reverse by E.W. Huttig Denver which we assume was the artist. Beautiful and unique a rare item seldom offered and a great addition to any collection.
