Vintage wrist watches are sometimes ignored today in our society. They have however served an important duty in the recent past. For years, All you could get if you wanted a wrist watch that would tell you the time was a windup wrist or pocket watch. Battery or quartz watches took the place of windup wrist watches. They almost became extinct. Recently some watch companies have started to offer more windup watch lines, because the public has started to demand them.
There is a tremendus value in Vintage wrist watches right now. You can buy them at a fraction of what they origionally sold for (inflation ajusted). In many cases... after cleaning, keep time to within a minute a day, just like they did when they were new... 30 plus years ago. after all, a good quality quartz wrist watch (we're not talking timex and casio crud here!) will set you back almost $200 to $400. You can buy quite a nice vintage wrist watch for this price in guarenteed working order and own a piece of history on your wrist!
Fortunatly, I love windup vintage wrist watches and have almost 100 for sale. I have 30 to 40 in the shop every day of the working week (no weekends). I can sell them cleaned with a warrentee or as-is with a three day exchange privilage (If you just don't like the watch, bring it back within three days and I'll let you pick annother one of equal value.).
