EARLY ISLAMIC CARVED FACETTED GLASS.EARLY ISLAMIC CARVED FACETTED GLASS Absolutely a great piece of ancient Islamic glass, carved from a single block of cast glass, facetted with hexagonal shapes allover the spherical body and facetted as an octagon on the neck. Truly a MUSEUM object, it will add quality to any collection of glass. Great "Tiffany" type iridescence. Wonderful example of its type. 12 th century, probably Persian. Not to be missed by any Islamic Art collector, Glass collectors and antiquities collectors. 1 1/ 2 inches high (37mm).
