Della Jean Kennedy (Student of Birger Sandzen) "The Leolstrom Farm" Signed Woodblock! The visible portion of the woodblock measures 12 15/16" x 9 7/8" while the vintage gold finished frame is 22" x 16 7/8". This wonderfully styled piece shows a two story farmhouse with a wide front porch and several lightening rods beneath a swirling stylized sky. A small barn sits in front of a row of lush trees to the left of the home. The artists monogram, "DJK" is in the lower right corner and there is a handwritten pencil signature, "DELLA JEAN KENNEDY" along the lower left border and the title "THE LEOLSTROM (?) FARM" along the lower right border. Della Kennedy is considered to be one of the finest students of noted Impressionist artist Birger Sandzen's at Bethany College.
