Ada B.Caldwell Lived in Brookings ,South Dakota where she worked and taught at South Dakota Agriculture Collage.She worked in Oils as well as prints mostly of landscapes. She was a student of William Meritt Chase and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, Art Students League of New York, The Broadmoor Art Academy, Chase School of Art, Columbia University and The Pratt Institute.

She is also known to have worked in Minnesota, The Missouri River valley and Woodstock N.Y.
