(Item: 5AK VILLAGE OLD MAN)

Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn (1606-1669) Original Drypoint Etching.

Dutch landscape. Circa 1655. Image 2 1/2" x 7". Framed.

Rembrandt’s etchings are, perhaps, history’s most catalogued works of art. Internationally renowned in his lifetime, they remain among the most collectible of all works on paper. In addition to their obvious aesthetic value they are also remarkable historical documents, providing an intimate record of the times and insightful psychological revelations of the artist himself.
