Amelia Angerstein, English, Circa 1833, Highlighted Drawing, 7 1/4 by 6 3/4, The Young Students, unsigned work from artist's estate,dated by artist"Feb 12, '33". Amelia Angerstein nee Lock, Self taught artist of children and domestic subjects. She married John Angerstein in 1799 and thus was the daughter-in-law of John Julius Angerstein whose pictures became the nucleus of the National Gallery.
