Antique Scottish Silver Punch Bowl, Monteith Rim

Antique Scottish Sterling Silver Punch Bowl with detatchable Monteith rim, marks for Edinburgh, 1872-1873, matching marks on body and on rim, including maker's marks sans serif H&I in cut cornered rectangle. Maker unidentified. The bowl is in the early Georgian style, on circular foot, overall height 9" x diameter 11 1/2". Bowl has two unmonogrammed opposing cartouches, paired lion and dropped ring handles, bold gadrooning around the foot, the body ribbed and decorated in bands. Condition: one handle detached at central joint of ring.
