Stretcher Base Table, ex: Jean Lipman

Early stretcher base one-drawer table with unusually large top. This table belonged to one of the pioneer American Folk Art collectors and scholars. Jean Lipman was author of many books, including the major reference book entitled " The Flowering of American Folk Art". She was a major donor of items from her personal collection to the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City and The New York Historical Society.
