Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

1921 Marx Charleston Trio Tin Windup Toy

This is one Black Americana toy you don't see often. It is in excellent working condition, and features a black man in a suit and spats, who dances while a black boy plays the violin, and a dog with a cane in its mouth moves up and down. The colored lithograph finish is in excellent condition, although for its age it 's not as bright as it was brand new. On a scale of one to ten, we rate this toy as a nine, but you be the judge by the pictures. We chose not to try to clean it, that's up to you! The Louis Marx & Co. logo is on the underside of the base, along with the patent date (see picture). The dimensions are 9 3/8" tall, 5 1/16" long, and 3 7/16" wide. This great tin windup toy is a harder to find Black Americana piece, and fun to watch...aren't we all just big kids anyway?!

Please be patient for seven larger pictures to download,....we'll do a little jig while you wait!
