1890's Victorian Miller Lamp Co. Gone With The Wind Hanging Parlor Lamp

This beauty came from a defunct museum in the Midwest, a very rare and lovely "Gone With The Wind" style hanging parlor lamp. The lamp was made by the Edward Miller Lamp Co. from Meriden, Conn. (see pictures). The dimensions are 33 3/4" long x 18 ½" wide (frame), the globe is 7 1/2" wide x 7" tall. The ornately curved brass frame is in excellent original condition, and very clean. There are several patent dates on the fount and burner, ranging from 11/18/1890 to 5/2/1893 on the flame spreader shaft, and June 28th, 1892 is embossed on the wick adjuster, with the last patent date being Feb. 8th, 1898 on the chimney & globe holder (see pictures). It has been carefully electrified, and can easily be converted back to kerosene in a few minutes. The milk glass globe and font have matching transfer pattern sprays of cherry blossoms, in tones of rose, pale green, and beige. There are no chips, cracks, or imperfections in either glass piece. There are 12 crystal prisms surrounding the upper portion of the brass frame. The winder is present and complete. There is a 1/2" by 1" section on the fount above the brass filigree design that has small dimples or dings. This is very minor and will not detract from the beauty of this rare lamp. This very dainty and unique parlor lamp would brighten up that really dark and dull corner in your home!
