Cast Iron Lamp w/Milk Glass Shade
(Item: 2574)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

General Store Hanging Cast Iron Lamp w/Milk Glass Shade

Looking for an attractive fixture for a cute country kitchen or a cozy corner in your cabin? This is the perfect choice! The black cast iron frame is fairly heavy and is complete, including the original winder. The smoke bell is present but the only piece not original to the lamp. The milk glass shade is perfect, no chips or cracks. The font is the best part! It is frosted glass with clear stars all around, and is slightly purpled from the sun. The base of the font has some surface scratches from age, but you can still see the faint embossed "August", and "1875". It is hard to see in the photo, but it is there. This lamp has not been electrified, but can easily be converted with a kit ($20.00). There are two small scallops on the crown that have broken off at some time in the past, but when the lamp is hung are not noticeable (see picture). The shade is 13 ½" diameter, and the lamp frame is 26" long, and will pull down another 6" on the chain. An old and very quaint decorative fixture for that... "I can't find what I want!" spot.
