1895 Mahogany George C. Flint China Cabinet

This very large and elegant china cabinet was manufactured in 1895 by the George C. Flint Co., in New York City. It still has the manufacturers label on the back of the china cabinet. It is all mahogany, with side columns, lattice work on each end and side panel. The finish is all original and in excellent condition. The dimensions of the china cabinet are: 63" tall, 17 ½" deep, and 61 ½" wide. It is on 4 brass casters, and does lock. The top 2 shelves have mirrored backs, and all the shelves have plate rails. It has a small bit of chipping to the finish on each lower side edge (1" by 6"). It may have happened by being raised or lowered from a second story by ropes, but we really don't know. The spots have darkened and are not easily seen. They do not detract at all from the beauty and stateliness of this piece. George C. Flint Company was the successor to the firm of Henry Bruner, which was purchased around 1891. He is first listed in the New York 1894/95 city directory, and worked until 1913. This cabinet would be a fabulous show piece, and would be perfect to display your treasures!

The dimensions of the china cabinet are: 63" tall, 17 1/2" deep, and 61 1/2" wide. The top two shelves have mirrored backs, and all of the shelves have plate rails.

The original manufacturers label on the back of the china cabinet.

There is chipping to the finish on the left & right lower side edges (1" by 6"). The spots have darkened and are not easily seen. They do not detract from the beauty of this piece.
