Victorian Walnut Eastlake Style Hanging Shaving Mirror with Shelf

A very early and quaint shaving mirror. This looks like a country style shaving mirror which probably graced a back porch! It is in all original condition, just cleaned and oiled. It has the original wavy and somewhat spotty mirror, a small turned holder on each side of the mirror for razors, a spoon carved wooden pocket for shaving essentials, a bar for a towel, with the original razor strap. It is marked on top of the strap "Valet Auto Strop", and on the bottom of the leather "Auto Strop, Model G outfit," with a little embossed razor symbol. The side razor holders and frame have old black paint. The shelf above could have been used for many "miscellaneous" items....a clock perhaps? The crest is rounded, with spoon carving. No repairs anywhere. The dimensions of the hanging mirror are: 22 1/4" long, 12" wide, and the mirror itself is 8 ½" long by 6 ½" wide. A really nice period decorating piece,....and useful, too!
