1913 Edison Model B-80 Mahogany Phonograph
(Item: 3455J)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

1913 Edison Diamond Disc Model B-80 Mahogany Phonograph

This beautiful Edison table top diamond disc mahogany phonograph is from a general store in Silverton, Colorado, which has been closed more than thirty years. We acquired it at the estate sale. It is in all original condition except for the dark green silk grill cloth, which is new. It runs excellently and holds a wind well, meaning the spring is still strong. It plays the 1/4" thick Edison records. The mahogany finish is great with only a little alligatoring (checkering) to the varnish. The model number on the plate inside the lid is "B-80," with four patent dates. The last one is March 11, 1913. The serial number is "SM17925." Dimensions of the machine are: 17 3/8" tall, 18 ½" wide, and 24 ½" long. The instructions are pasted inside the bottom of the case, which is marked "Edison no. 4 cabinet factory." The phonograph has only been cleaned up, no parts have been replaced. A wonderful piece that should be part of your collection,. . . especially if you like to listen to the old Edison records!
