1900's Bing Pygmyphone "Miniature" Phonograph

A very quaint child's phonograph, so cute you can't stand it! This pygmyphone, manufactured by the Bing Co., is in original perfect working order. The dimensions of the box are 6" x 6", the horn is 5 1/2" long. It is marked around the base of the horn: "Made in Germany - D.R.P. - USA Pat. Appl. for, Brit. Pat." The record with the phonograph is "Yakka Hula Hickey Dula", fox trot (please hear sound byte at the bottom of this page...but please be patient, the file is quite large and it could take a few minutes!). The last patent date on the back of the one-sided record is Nov. 30, 1909. It has extra needles in a small envelope (original), and crank. The box itself is green, with small black boys playing instruments on one side, seven dwarves and little red riding hood on the others. It is in very good to excellent condition. This is one of those hard-to-resist items...so why resist?!
