1883 White Opalescent Coin Dot Hanging Lamp
(Item: 4065J)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

1883 White Opalescent Coin Dot Hanging Parlor Lamp with Opalescent Jeweled Frame

We always hesitate to use the word "cute" when we describe our antiques, so I guess we'll say "unique and extremely attractive!" This beautiful Victorian parlor lamp is complete and in room-ready condition. The brass frame uses a round counterweight for balance, so there is no winder as on some lamps; it does have one 1" by ½" ding on the counterweight, but this does not detract from the piece. The top chain rollers have "pat. Sept. 18, '83" on them. The shade support has a pattern of stylized daisies, the arms are twisted patterned brass, and there are three white opalescent jewels, one at each side and one at the bottom. The shade is 14" dia. and 6 ½" tall, with smooth double fired rims and a tiny opalescent dot pattern. The shade throws a very beautiful diamond pattern on the ceiling at night! The frame is 43" long fully extended, 38" when it is fully up, and 17 3/4" wide across the support arms. The smoke bell is 6 1/4" long by 5" in diameter and is a white opalescent swirl pattern and ruffles at the bottom. The fount is a frosted diamond pattern "no spill" oil fount with original burner. We have electrified the lamp with a kit that can be removed in minutes to return the lamp to oil. The lamp has 36 crystal prisms. There are no chips, cracks, or flea bites on any of the glass. The O ring on the counterweight for the smoke bell has been re-soldered, and the S hook is a brass replacement. This is a lamp that could be used to compliment any decorating scheme, and one that we are proud to offer for sale at our store!

Please be patient for fourteen pictures to download!
