Chicago & Northwestern Railroad (Milwaukee Road) Coin Operated Toy Depot Locomotive Ride.

A unique relic from the great Milwaukee Road we have recently acquired. This depot ride was used during the 1950-60's and in a train depot in northern Illinois. It has seen much use, but is still in good working condition. This was made by Northland Engineering Corporation in Chicago. It has not been repaired or touched up in any way....so what you see is what you get! It is completely fiberglass on a chassis, that rocks back and forth during operation. The coin operated mechanism has been removed by someone, and replaced with a lever toggle switch. It's possible the coin box didn't work any more, but we do not know. We have seen old coin boxes that will fit with this piece, and are available. The paint is primarily yellow, with red, silver & black trim. The original " Milwaukee Road" decal on the front is 80-85% present, with a patch scraped off at one time. All fiberglass corners show wear, and in a few cases could use minor fiberglass repairs. The silver on the front has a "4" wide by 1 3/4" tall area at the base that needs repair. The overall dimemsions are; 55 1/2" long, 27 1/2" wide, and 28 1/2" tall, and weighs approx. 250 pounds. We will be traveling through six Midwest states on business starting March 30th through April 9th, and would be happy to meet the potential buyer along the route for delivery of only $75.00!
