English 9 piece Rubena Perfume and Dresser Set

This spectacular Rubena perfume and dresser set has been a recent addition to our store, and one that we are very pleased to be able to offer for sale. Rubena glass is a cranberry colored art glass that is light at the base (very nearly clear), and darker to cranberry at the top. This nine piece set is cut and faceted with cut crystal stoppers for the four graduated perfume bottles. The entire set seen together is extremely attractive. The set was purchased years ago in Europe. Dimensions of each piece are as follows: small perfume - 5 ½" tall with stopper and 1 3/4" diameter base; second size up perfume - 6 1/4" tall with stopper and 2" diameter base; third size up perfume - 6 3/4" tall with stopper and 2 1/8" diameter base; fourth size up perfume - 7 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" diameter base; atomizer - 7 ½" tall to the brass top, and 2 1/4" diameter base; water glass - 2" in diameter and 3 ½" tall; covered pin box - 4 1/4" tall with lid and 3 ½" in diameter; small pin tray - 4 3/4" long, 2 7/8" wide, and 1 ½" tall. Now for the few flaws. The small pin tray has two edge nicks, one on one end and on one corner. The large pin tray has one edge chip on one side. The two smaller perfumes have one flat lip chip each. The atomizer has a missing tube and bulb. The inner glass tube is present. The pin box has one almost invisible flea bite on the inner rim. These imperfections in our opinion are very minor and do not detract from the overall beauty of this set. The lip flakes on the two small perfumes are hard to see and could be smoothed down. The pin trays are probably as good as they can be, but we're not experts on glass repair. This is a very unique and superb perfume and dresser set. It is a very fine example of Rubena art glass and it deserves a fine new home where it will be proudly displayed!

Rubena glass is a cranberry colored art glass that is light at the base (very nearly clear), and darkens to cranberry at the top.

The covered pin box is 4 1/4" tall with lid and 3 1/2" in diameter. The pin box has an almost invisible flea bite on the inner rim.

The atomizer is 7 1/2" tall to the brass top and 2 1/4" diameter base. The atomizer has a missing tube and bulb. The inner glass tube is present.

The largest perfume is 7 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" diameter base.

The second largest perfume is 6 3/4" tall with stopper and 2 1/8" diameter base.

The second smallest perfume is 6 1/4" tall with stopper and 2" diameter base. The two smaller perfumes have one flat lip chip each.

The smallest perfume is 5 1/2" tall with stopper and 1 3/4" diameter base.

The water glass is 2" in diameter and 3 1/2" tall.

The small pin tray is 4 3/4" long, 2 7/8' wide and 1 1/2" tall.

The small pin tray has two edge nicks, one on one end and on one corner.

The large pin tray is 8 7/8" long, 2 3/8" wide and 1 1/2" tall.

The large pin tray has one edge chip on one side.
