1860-70's German Immigrant Spinning Wheel Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!1860-70's German Immigrant Spinning Wheel We have made it a challenge to ourselves to find the most unique spinning wheels we can, and this beautiful little spinning wheel is no exception! This is an early German immigrant spinning wheel. Made small and easily broken down to travel in a trunk, it is complete and in excellent condition. It stands on three small turned feet with an 11" center wheel. The "mother of all" is on one side and the distaff with a brass catch cup is on the other side. All pieces are hand turned hardwood. There are several white porcelain "buttons" on the ends of some of the turned pieces. The distaff has flax wound around the top portion. Dimensions of the spinning wheel are: 56 ½" tall to the top of the distaff, and 17" wide base from foot to foot. There are no repairs to the wood, only one small 1/4" wedge missing from the "mother of all" wheel, which appears to be a very old part, after all. A unique and beautiful spinning wheel, perfect to sit beside your fireplace hearth! Please be patient for eight larger pictures to download! $535.00
