1870's-80's Walnut Eastlake Style Two Door Bookcase w/Two Drawers

The newest addition to our furniture section, and a beautiful one at that! This solid walnut bookcase is Eastlake "style," with burled walnut panels running down each outer edge, medallions, burled walnut drawers fronts, and spoon carving. There are four large glass panes, two in each door, five adjustable shelves, and two lower drawers. The bookcase separates into three sections, crest, bookcase, and base, for easier transport or moving. The finish is original and in excellent condition, with one small area of slight finish discoloration at the center of the base top. It is not noticeable, but it must be mentioned. The hardware and locks are original except for the upper door lock, which has been replaced. The glass is all original, with a few waves and air bubbles. Dimensions of the bookcase are: 81 3/4" overall height; base - 45 1/4" wide and 18 5/8" deep; bookcase section - 12 ½" deep and 41" wide; crest - 45" wide and 13 ½" deep. An elegant piece to store your collectibles and first edition books!
