1890's Mahogany Fireplace Mantle w/ Bevelled Glass 1890's Victorian Mahogany Fireplace Mantle w/ Beveled Glass & Applied Carving This beautiful fireplace mantle would have been a necessity 100 years ago, but now should be used to simply beautify your parlor or great room! It is solid mahogany, with a dark finish. The finish is original and in very good condition. A large column supports each side of the upper half section. A larger column supports each side of the lower section. The top of each column is carved. This fireplace mantle was removed from a Victorian home in Nebraska. Applied carving appears at the center, top, and the edge of the fireplace surround. The beveled mirror is original, with a few age streaks and spots over the surface. The mirror could be replaced if necessary, but some purists prefer originality. Dimensions of this very stately fireplace mantle are; 88 3/4" tall, 12 ½" deep, 59" wide, and the mirror is 39 1/4" wide and 17 3/8" tall. The fireplace surround opening is 41 ½" wide and 38 3/4" tall. A very noteworthy piece destined to grace a fabulous home. . . maybe yours?! Please be patient for eight larger pictures to download!
