Chicago & Northwestern Ry 1913 A&W Clear Cast Lantern Chicago & Northwestern Railway 1913 Adlake-Reliable Lantern w/ Clear Cast Globe A super clean C&NWRy, Adams & Westlake lantern in excellent condition. The lantern comes with a clear cast "C&NWRy" Corning globe in the rectangular square edge panel. The frame is in choice condition with lots of original tin and has been cleaned of dirt and oil, then hand polished. There are a few very minor small dings on the frames top lid, and it measures 10 1/4" tall without bail. The top of the frame is marked "C&NWRy, The Adams & Westlake Co., New York, Chicago, Phila., Adlake Reliable," and the last patent date is April 1, 1913. Only the bail handle has some minor surface roughness. The clear cast Corning globe is 5 3/8" tall, and has a medium cast. There are two very minor flat rim flakes or chips, one inside flat chip on the bottom rim, and one outside small rim flake on the top. Both will not be seen when in the frame (see pictures). The lantern comes with an Adlake #300 burner and fount with 100% tin, which will still hold oil and burn. This Midwest railroadiana piece would be a perfect addition to someone's railroad collection....why not make it yours?! Please be patient for nine larger pictures to download!
