1890's Blue Hobnail Hanging Parlor Lamp w/ Blue Teardrop Prisms & Blue Fount

One of the prettiest victorian hanging parlor lamps we’ve had! This lamp has a true blue hobnail 14" shade in near perfect condition, no chips, cracks, or fleabites, just one manufacturer air bubble. The bottom and top rims of the shade are double fired smooth glass. The fount is a blue glass, “daisy & button” panel pattern. The fount and shade are pictured in the book “Kerosene Lighting, Victorian Oil Lamps (1860-1900)” by Catherine M.V. Thuro, published in 2001. The brass frame is in excellent condition, just hand polished recently. The winder is not present. The lamp was electrified a long time ago using the original burner. We just replaced the old wire with new wire. The lamp can be returned to kerosene with a different burner. The blue teardrop prisms are old and original to the lamp, and match the true blue shade and fount exactly. There are 42 teardrop prisms, all in excellent condition, and 16 clear crystal prisms. The brass frame has a triangular floral design on each lower side. One of the small rivets is missing. Not noticeable, but must be mentioned for accuracy. The hook holding the smoke bell is a replacement. Dimensions of this exquisite lamp are; 36" long, 16 3/4" wide. The shade is 14" in diameter. This hanging victorian lamp is a real show stopper!

The blue teardrop prisms are old and original to the lamp, and match the true blue shade and fount exactly. There are 42 blue teardrop prisms, all in excellent condition, and 16 clear crystal prisms.

The brass frame has a triangular floral design on each lower side.

The fount is a blue glass, “daisy & button” panel pattern.
