1860's Walnut Country Style Chest of Drawers

A very attractive and room-ready chest of drawers in solid walnut. The Victorian country style chest has long drawers with fruit and leaf carved pulls, and two small hankie drawers, all hand dovetailed. The fruit and leaf pull on the right side of the top drawer had to be repaired and carved (please see pictures). There are quarter round brackets on the corners, with racetrack trim. It has a scalloped short apron over bracket feet. The chest has been professionally refinished (see before pictures). All drawers have the original locks. The key provided operates only the top hankie drawer locks. The chest is very solid and heavy, with beautiful wood grain.The dimensions are 42 3/4" wide, 19 3/4" deep and stands 40 3/4" tall. The top long drawer has two small "1 x 2" holes in the bottom inside board in the back corners. Very old holes, and very minor flaws, but must be mentioned for accuracy. A spectacular and versatile furniture piece it would be a pleasure to use in your home.

The dimensions are 42 3/4" wide, 19 3/4" deep and stands 40 3/4" tall.

There are quarter round brackets on the corners, with racetrack trim. It has a scalloped short apron over bracket feet.

The chest is very solid and heavy, with beautiful wood grain.

Hand dovetailed drawers.

The top long drawer has two small "1 x 2" holes in the bottom inside board in the back corners.
