Early 1800's European Spinning Wheel Early 1800's European Spinning Wheel A very lovely old hardwood spinning wheel, purchased in Europe. It is in very good condition, and has turned spindles, legs, and supports. The mother-of-all is present. The treadle is attractive curved iron, and the support for the mother-of-all is iron, embossed "FB" on the top. The marks; "FRS. Bordua, St. Charles R.C." appears impressed in three places on the base. Research has not turned up much, except that it is probably English in origin. Dimensions of the spinning wheel are; 30" diameter wheel, overall height is 45 ½", and 48" from the end to end. This very quaint spinning wheel needs a new home... possibly by your fireplace! Please be patient for eight larger pictures to download!
