Union Pacific Door Lock Set w/Letter Slot
What a great and useful piece of railroad history! This cast iron Union Pacific door set includes the two back plates. Each plate dimensions are; 17” long and 3 ¼” wide. The set has a letter slot, and the two matching door knobs. This very unusual set is in excellent condition, and has been glass beaded to remove rust. The Union Pacific shield is at the top of both back plates. These locks were manufactured by “Russwin.” The letter slot opens on both sides by a spring system. The plate is cast “S1263” on the back. There are no screws to attach it to a door, and a key would have to be made, otherwise an excellent set for your railroad room! A great addition to a Union Pacific collection!
