Victorian Sugar Castor w/White Satin Insert

This is a very hard to find and unusual Victorian sugar castor by E.G. Webster & Bro.. The pedestal frame has ornate designs on the band that holds the insert, and filagree on the bail. The silver plate has been professionally repaired & re-silvered. The insert cover has a unique bluebird as a finial (see picture). The castor comes complete with an ornate sugar serving spoon. The white satin glass insert is original, and has no chips, cracks or flea bites. The frame stands 11 1/4" high, by 6 1/4" wide. The glass insert measures 4 3/8" wide, and 3" high. This ornate and unusual castor set came from the estate of Baron Von Bloomberg of Hampton, New Hampshire,...and could be in your estate!
