MPRR Red Cast Corning Globe Handlan-Buck Lantern

Here is a very nice turn-of-the-century Handlan-Buck Mfg. Company lantern for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. It comes with a very nice 5 3/8" tall red cast Corning globe with a strong cast "M.P.". The top rim of the globe is in excellent condition. There is only one minor bottom inside rim flake that will not show in the frame (see picture). The bell bottom frame has original patina with good metal throughout. It does have some minor surface roughness from years of use (see pictures). We only cleaned off the oil and dirt, then hand buffed the frame with a cotton cloth. The dimensions of the frame without the bail are; 10 3/4" tall. The bell bottom fount will still hold oil and burn, no pin holes. The last patent date embossed on the shoulder of the fount is 12/8/1908. This 100 year old lantern is a real attention getter with a beautiful red globe,…and is ready for you to proudly display!
