AT&SFRy (Santa Fe) Mimbreno Ramekin Dish AT&SF (Santa Fe) Railway Mimbreno Ramekin Dish This is a Mimbreno pattern piece missing from many Santa Fe railroad china collections. This is a ramekin old ivory version, used for small baked dishes. It is in mint condition, no chips, cracks or flea bites. Ramekins are very delicate, thin pieces, therefore more breakable and harder to find these days. The ramekin is fully backstamped "Ancient Mimbreno Indian Designs, Syracuse China, Copyrighted by Santa fe Railway, Old Ivory". The ramekin is 3 ½" in diameter, and 1 3/8" tall. Mimbreno railroad china was used on the Santa Fe Super Chief from 1937 to 1971. It was designed by Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, a Harvey System employee. She was given the commission to design china based on the concept of the Membres Indians. Her resultant designs are widely collected to this day.
