Here is an unusual item, from the past.
It is a figural Turtle Spittoon.
It is about 11" across, 4" high and 14" long.
The bottom is heavy iron, the shell and pot are tin.
When the head is stepped on...
The shell opens and remains open...
When the shell is stepped on again... it closes.
These turtles were used in High-Class Hotels, Saloons and Brothels.
This is the one that was made by:
"The Chicago Novelty Company, in the 1890's."
It is all original and is in exceptional, aged, condition.
